10 Key Spring/Summer 2022 Trends to by Vogue from SHEIN
This post is dedicated to following the 10 Key Spring/Summer 2022 Trends but here is the twist ALL items are from SHEIN.
So as we noticed in my Spring 2022 trends previous post short (real short) is back but think sheer and second-skin takes on sexy are back.
Vogue have mentioned how this summer fashion is embracing body positivity with designers trialing new ways to interpret sex. This can be seen by up and coming designers Nensi Dojaka and Supriya Lele with their sheer, body-wrapping designs making headlines in London.
Interestingly colour was key on the runaway– or the complete opposite of head-to-toe white. Perfect for those minimalists out there (I’m a fan!).
So below are the 10 Key Spring /Summer 2022 trends inspired by Vogue which I have used SHEIN for a more affordable look.
1. Micro Mania
Short and shorter! When you thought hemlines couldn’t go higher, Prada and Miu Miu felt otherwise, showing short skits worn low on the hips. Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Chanel and even Emporio Armani all followed this look.
Here is my attempt with a split with the SHEIN Zip Side Slit Hem Satin Skirt…perhaps too short for your family BBQ. This was only £6.49 and in a size 8.
Motorcycle Diaries
I have on the Flap Pocket Buckled PU Leather Jacket in a small at £32.99. I wanted to try a mid length oversized look and might I add I would keep! This made me feel cool.
3. Colour Me Free
Like in the Spring 2022 post colour is definitely in. Valentino and Halpern all had vibrant colours, apparently modelled by members of the Royal Ballet company in fuchsia.
I am wearing the Solid Tie Backless Cami Dress in size 8 at £17.99.
4. Drama At The Back
Focussing on the exit not the entrance is what Vogue has said is key the summer! Think backless or bows, make a statement from the back. Gucci’s red caped mini dress proved this.
In the picture I am wearing the Criss-cross Tie Backless Split Thigh Satin Dress in size 8 at only £14.99. This has a tie back – so you can add that bow look!
5. Between The Lines
Fringed stripes are back. This reminded me of cowboys but apparently it is in! There were some looks from Louis Vuitton’s with going-out tops, paired with deep-blue denim and even feathered coats from Gucci.
Zebra Striped Fringe Trim Backless Knot Halter Top at only £5.49 in a size 8 is what I have decided to use for this trend!
6. So Fresh And So Clean
Vogue have said Colgate white is now IN. With many pairing white on white as seen on Chloé. Some online clothing brands have even created sections purely for this on their webpage, purely for the so fresh and so clean look. At Hermès and Valentino, had white trouser suits.
I have gone for the SHEIN 2pcs Solid Drawstring Split Thigh Skirt (wearing the white in this picture) in size 8 at £17.99. The SHEIN SXY Plunge Neck Tie Backless Crop Halter Top in white size 8. More of a summer look, with bikini tops being worn out as casual wear I thought I’d try something different.
7. The New Sexy
Super sheer, super tight, and super short. The LVMH Prize-winning designer Nensi Dojaka as well as Supriya Lele in London, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Coperni in Paris have started this trend.
Not quite as daring as some on the runaway but perhaps more appropriate for a night out. This is the SHEIN SXY Cut Out Criss Cross Ribbed Knit Bodycon Dress in a size 8 at £13.49.
8. Up All Night
After-dark glamour moments are a trend. So heavily-embellished styles e.g. Sequins, sparkling mesh and crystals. Reminds me of the great Gatsby.
Here is the SHEIN SXY Backless Contrast Sequin Dress in a size 8 £12.49. Very glam at a decent price!
9. Millennium Bug
The noughties are back! Crop tops and butterflies, low rise jeans and tiny scarf! Etro went low-rise, while cargo pants popped up at, among others, Tom Ford and Zimmermann. I have never been a fan of cargo trousers but now this trend is back…I think I’ll join in.
This cute millennium bug is called SHEIN BAE Cutout Front Halter Top it is £7.99 in a size small.
10. Tinker, Tailor
I love the blazer and high knee boots look and it’s here to stay. Vogue says think structured blazer and fluid dress. Louis Vuitton was comfort driven but theatrical. You can ditch a dress all together and follow Vaccarello who put sheer tights with tailoring.
Here I have on the Lapel Neck Single Breasted Blazer Khaki in a Large 12/14 from SHEIN £20.99. I chose the Large for an oversized look.
I bought the Minimalist Back Zipper Classic Boots in 5.5 which I LOVE AT £25.25.
