Arthur and Sons NY Italian is a NYC Italian-American restaurant located in the heart of Manhattan, Arthur and Sons this hidden gem captures the essence of traditional Italian cuisine. The restaurant has been big on Tiktok with vloggers documenting the family size potions and large lathers of cheese sprinkled on the pasta dishes. This is a vibey 90s style chain and a place up to stop off to pre heading out or just for a delicious meal. Located in the heart of Manhattan, Arthur and Sons NY Italian is a hidden gem that captures the essence of traditional Italian cuisine. 

This place was so tasty I went back twice – the spicy rigatoni is up there as the best pasta dish I have ever had. Try save room for dessert. The tiramisu at Arthur and Sons NY Italian is a heavenly blend of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers. It’s the perfect ending to a truly memorable meal.

2. TAO Downtown Restaurant

TAO Downtown Restaurant is a must eat New York spot, if you are looking for somewhere for a vibey dinner before heading on a night out around the trendy Meat Packing District/ Soho or west village. Tao is Pan-Asian eatery and it’s best to get sharing platters. Part of the Rockwell group. Upon entry to TAO Downtown Restaurant, you’ll be greeted by a grand entrance adorned with towering Buddha statues and a cascading staircase. The restaurant’s interior is a feast for the eyes, with its dramatic lighting and Asian-inspired decor. It’s the perfect setting for a special occasion or night out.

The menu at TAO Downtown Restaurant is a fusion of Asian flavors, showcasing the best of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine. Start your meal with the crispy spring rolls or the delicate tuna tartare. I’d suggest trying the orange chicken with a rice or noodle dish. If you have room try the chocolate molten cake or the refreshing lychee sorbet. 

You can join a promoter table as a girl and have a free dinner if you continue on to the Tao night club just downstairs.

 

3. Cecconis- dumbo Brooklyn

Nestled in the popular neighborhood of DUMBO, Brooklyn, Cecconi’s is a culinary gem that combines Italian classics with modern flair. Cecconi’s is a well known chain a popular restaurant in the ned in London. This Cecconi’s DUMBO has outdoor seating with its prime waterfront location and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Not a location to head to before a vibrant night out instead dine here for a quieter occasion. This stylish eatery is the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch or a romantic dinner. 

The menu features classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, prepared using only the finest ingredients. From homemade pasta to wood-fired pizzas, every bite at Cecconi’s is a culinary delight. The homemade pasta dishes are a standout. From the delicate tagliolini with truffle butter to the hearty pappardelle with wild boar ragu, each bite is a taste of Italy.

4. The Dutch NYC

The Dutch is a New York SoHo version of a classic bar and grill. If you’re looking for a taste of American comfort food with a contemporary twist, look no further than The Dutch NYC. This lively, modern space is run by one of New York City’s most accomplished restaurant groups NoHo Hospitality Group. Chef Andrew Carmellini’s American neighborhood restaurant serves a variety of dishes from market salad to steaks and burgers. The small plates are a hype a long with  the famous fried chicken to the mouthwatering oyster sliders. I had the chicken burger and a very spicy marg and it was delightful. It reminded me of a more chilled pub type atmosphere to dine in the evening.

5. Jack’s wife Freda Soho- Chelsea market

Jack’s Wife Freda is a simple, cute little café in Soho and the West Village, opened by a couple that met while working at Balthazar. This is one of a five of darling Jack’s Wife Freda locations in NYC. With its cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering menu, Jack’s Wife Freda has become a beloved brunch spot for New Yorkers and visitors alike. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, this restaurant offers a delightful fusion of American, Israeli, and South African flavors. 

From the famous rosewater waffles to the flavourful shakshuka. I’d suggest trying one of their iconic sandwich’s like the Madame Freda, a classic sandwich with grilled cheese, duck prosciutto, and a sunny-side-up egg. Don’t forget to their signature mint lemonade for a refreshing twist.

However I’d argue it is the perfect spot for a casual lunch after a long walk in the park or cycle ride. The Loeb Boathouse also offers the opportunity to take a boat ride on The Lake, making it ideal  for a romantic date or a . Whether you’re looking for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, Loeb Boathouse is a destination that should not be missed.

7. The Little Owl NYC

The Little Owl, is tucked away in the charming West Village.  This is a cozy neighborhood gem that has gained a loyal following over the years. Just underneath the Friends apartment, so be prepared for a few tourists snapping pictures across the street as you dine. This restaurant offers a true farm-to-table experience. The dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients. 

The menu is inspired by Mediterranean and American flavors. This hidden gem, with its exposed brick walls and rustic decor, is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a quiet meal. From the famous meatball sliders to the decadent chocolate cake.

In addition to the delicious food, little owl restaurant also offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. Follow on a couple doors down to the Bandits Diner + Dive for a more lively atmosphere if you fancy heading out after.

Daniela Trattoria located in the heart of the Theatre District on 728 8th avenue serving authentic traditional Italian cuisine since 1996 has been times. A Northern Italian restaurant with pasta, pizza & more in a rustic, 2-story brick-walled space. Offering age-old Italian tradition and timeless recipes located in the theater district. 9. Culture An American Yogurt Company & Juice Bar by Culture

Fun fact at Culture An American Yogurt Company Culture’s yogurt is made from specially selected live probiotic cultures and the freshest milk from local farms. Levain Bakery is a retail bakery located in a variety of places in NYC. We stopped of at NoHo as we were aware of the hype and New York City would be complete without a visit to Levain Bakery. This iconic bakery is famous for its mouthwatering cookies. Baked fresh daily, these cookies are known for their gooey centers and crispy edges. With flavors like chocolate chip walnut and dark chocolate peanut butter, Levain Bakery’s cookies are a true indulgence for any sweet tooth. Be prepared to wait in line, as this bakery is a favorite among locals and tourists alike

Crumbl Cookies is similarly located in a variety of spots across NYC. They’re much sweeter than other gourmet brands, with a sugary sweetness as opposed to a decadent dark chocolate. 

This cookie shop is known for it’s signature pink boxes and offer a wide variety of flavors that change on a weekly basis. From classic chocolate chip to unique creations like caramel popcorn, every cookie at crumbl cookies is made with high-quality ingredients and baked to perfection.
