Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat has an incredible selection of restaurants and bars, with a really lovely small town feel. If you want a chilled and party holiday I have a few spots to recommend. In Your Ultimate Travel Guide to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat: 7 Best Places to Eat, What to Do, Where to and Stay. Here are some of the best options:
1. Paloma Beach Restaurant
After a day of lounging at Paloma Beach, the beachfront restaurant is perfect for fresh seafood with an amazing view. The Mediterranean cuisine and relaxed atmosphere are ideal for a long lunch. Or dinner by the sea. We went here several times and a lot of my friends regularly come here because of how great the menu is.
2. Le Saint Jean
Located in the village center, Le Saint Jean is a cozy restaurant offering French cuisine with a modern twist. From seafood dishes to classic French fare. We came here after a few drinks on the port and had a group dinner. We were quite loud but sitting outside we luckily didn’t get too many angry glares. The staff were amazing.
3. Sauce Paradis
It’s all in the name really. For a unique culinary experience, head to Sauce Paradis for a fusion of Mediterranean and French flavors. We came for a quick breakfast some mornings and stopped for the lunch steak and frites which was delicious and one portion was enough to share for two.
4. BBS The Wine Bar
If you’re looking for a casual spot to relax, BBS The Wine Bar is perfect. We enjoyed watching the Euros outside with lovely views of the sea port. They offer a great selection of local wines and small plates, making it an excellent place to unwind in the evening.
5. Little Italy Pizza
Another fantastic option for takeaway is Little Italy Pizza. Their freshly-made pizzas with classic Italian toppings are perfect for enjoying on the beach or back at your villa. We took this back to the yacht one night and it went well with the wine from the next place I’ll recommend.
6. Le Cave de Sophie
If you’re a wine enthusiast, stop by Le Cave de Sophie to pick up a bottle or two of fine French wine. It’s the perfect place to grab a local rosé or a robust red for a quiet evening at your Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat villa. Really great wine to top up with while you are here and fancy something nicer then the supermarket wine.
7. Plage de Passable
Plage de Passable is a hidden gem in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, offering a relaxed beach club atmosphere during the day with sunbeds, turquoise waters, and Mediterranean cuisine. As night falls, it becomes a vibey spot for drinks, though it keeps things laid-back and closes at midnight. Just a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the port, it’s a perfect destination for both daytime relaxation and evening cocktails.
Recommendations
If you fancied a quick day trip or night out Monaco is only a short drive. Do remember they do not have Ubers here so be careful with getting back (I had this issue).
Best Time to Visit Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
The best time to visit Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is between May and September when the weather is warm and ideal for beach activities. For those looking to avoid the peak summer crowds, visiting during the spring or early fall is also a great option, with cooler temperatures and fewer tourists.
