Lunch
1. Peppers Mykonos– for lunch or dinner at Mykonos city centre.
This place was so cheap and amazing. You can stop here for dinner but this isn’t a sit down and dress up type of location. You can stop by here for a takeaway after a night out. At 8 euros for gyros! This is more of a chilled restaurant but the food was delicious and cheap. I’d suggest stopping here for lunch.
Price: £
Experience: Loved it!
2. Nikolas Taverna Mykonos- for lunch right next to Scorpios and Agia Anna.
Located across the road from Scorpios. I had seen this place recommended on another blog. The restaurant is on the beach in a beautiful location and the service was incredible. Food is reasonably priced and portions are huge.
Price: £
Experience: Loved it! Big portions
3. Baboulas Ouzeri- Mykonos for lunch on the beachfront.
This has a breathtaking view, located right next to the sea. However the service was quite slow and there wasn’t all too much variety on the menu. If you like seafood this is the place for you.
Price: ££
Experience: Food was okay, service wasn’t great
4. Super Paradise Beach Club– Mykonos for lunch while sunbathing.
This was our favourite spot for eating at a beach club. For tasty Mediterranean cuisine and large portions, this spot you won’t want to miss. Especially if you are sunbathing here, its a 50 euros minimum food spend anyway!
Price: ££
Experience: Tasty Mediterranean cuisine!
DINNER
5. Principote Mykonos for dinner
If you fancy a loud, vibe-y dinner. This is the place for you. This party destination spot requires bookings.
Book in advance and definitely dress up for this venue. True greek style, smashed plates and napkin waving is accustom here. Located in the historic centre of Chora, Principote Mykonos is all about having a great time and making sure you remember it.
Enjoy delicious Greek specialties, some of the best cocktails around and live music performances, all while taking in mesmerizing views over Little Venice. I would suggest latest a 5pm seating as it kicks off before your usual dinner reservation and the music is amazing. Get prepared for one too many shots of ouzo. The waiters also even feed you here…
Price: £££
Experience: Loved it!
6. Nammos Beach Club Mykonos for lunch or dinner this is Psarou Beach.
Nammos Beach Club Mykonos is one of the trendiest and most happening places in town, offering beach dining experiences and partying until dawn. Enjoy exquisite Mediterranean dishes from the restaurant’s menu day or night and an amazing selection of signature cocktails while listening to some unique music choices. It’s definitely worth a visit when you are in Mykonos!
The meals did not disappoint. I’d suggest coming early for dinner here as the dj set usually finishes before 8pm. We did find this restaurant was particularly pricey, with cover charges and even a table charge for simply booking a seat at the restaurant.
Price: £££
Experience: Lovely atmosphere, not the friendliest staff- Pretentious air
7. Scorpios Mykonos- for the beach club for dinner in Paraga.
Expensive to book and even in off peak season it is impossible to get bookings here. Scorpios Mykonos with no reservation, will be impossible to get a dinner reservation in peak periods. We arrived on time and had to wait an hour for our table. What you are allowed to do if you eat dinner or have to wait for your booking is have access to other bars here. Best time to come here is on a Sunday.
Price: £££
Experience: One of my favourite spots for bar/nightlife in Mykonos
8.Cavo Tagoo Mykonos– for dinner or the beach club.
This was one of our favourite beach clubs, from the infinity pool, beautiful immersive facilities and attentive staff (offering face mist spray and sunglass cleaning services as you sunbathe!). Located at Mykonos Old Port, Cavo Tagoo is one of the most well-known restaurants of town. Its stylish ambience and its stunning view over the Aegean Sea make it a popular option for romantic dinners and moonlight cocktail parties. The menu offers an array of delicious Greek specialties as well as sushi dishes, salads, burgers and various international options.
Price: £££
Experience: Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff
9. Zuma Mykonos- for dinner or the beach club
This Japanese restaurant is in the exact same location as Cavo Tagoo. You have the option to dine in the restaurant or poolside here at Zuma. Dishes here are authentic but not traditional with bold, intense flavours.
Price: £££
Experience: Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
10. Interni Restaurant Mykonos- for dinner.
Interni Restaurant Mykonos is one of the most exclusive restaurants in the island. Its menu offers a diverse selection of dishes from Pan-Asian cuisine and its unique setting features walls covered in Asian artworks. I’d recommend the truffle risotto. The open-air terrace allows guests to admire the incredible views over Mykonos Town and Little Venice while enjoying their meal. The restaurant can become quite lively with many making use of the bar in the middle of the courtyard. We did however find the staff weren’t very welcoming or friendly and in peak time our friends ran into trouble in securing their booking with similarly unkind staff.
Experience: Pretentious, other friends had a similar experience for dinner.

BARS
11. 180 Sunset Bar- Mykonos for drinks while watching the sun set.
Perched atop a cliff with stunning views of the Mediterranean, 180 Sunset Bar offers some of the best cocktails in Mykonos. This rooftop venue also serves up delicious bites, like falafel and grilled octopus. Don’t miss out on their signature sangrias to further indulge in the island’s flavors. There is a minimum of 80 euros spend each. However, a helpful tip is you can still watch the sun set as there are designated spots for those who haven’t booked with no minimum spend.
Tips for dining at restaurants or bars in Mykonos:
- Tipping in Mykonos: Tipping is expected in Mykonos Greece. Usual custom is to leave 5 to 10% tip. Think to round your bill up.
- Other charges: Expensive restaurants have service, cover or even table service charges. For example dining at Nammos your are expected to pay a fee for sitting in their restaurant which they charge through offering bread/oil.
- Reservations: I’d suggest making reservations a few days or a week in advance. Usually a deposit can be taken, especially for no shows. We were lucky as we went during an off peak time however we still booked a week in advance. I would definitely book if you decide to come during the height of summer.
- Beach Clubs: Many of the top beach clubs in Mykonos offer incredible food, a lot of the time there is a minimum spend which can sometimes be included in the cost of your sunbed. Check this when booking. A tip can be to head to a cheaper lunch spot when you have your sunbed, as your booking is usually for all day.
- Tap water: The tap water is not safe to drink. You are able to use this for occasional circumstances e.g brushing teeth however, bottled water is what you will need to order in Mykonian restaurants. It’s not free, usually 2 euros a bottle.
