YSL Museum: As a fashion enthusiast, diving into the world of Yves Saint Laurent was a highlight. The museum showcases his iconic designs. This is right next to Jardin Majorelle. You can book a tour which gives you access to these for only £10 for entry. Make sure to look at the tours, we booked through Get your guide and the staff weren’t happy as not all our tickets were sent through. We had to buy one there. 2-Hour Quad Bike Excursion: This was an absolute thrill! For just £15, you’ll get picked up and dropped back to your hotel. We got to experience the scenic terrains of Marrakech on a quad bike. It’s a fantastic way to explore the outskirts of the city. They also provide tea, drinks and local snacks at the end. I’d recommend for the price and experience if you haven’t ridden a quad bike before.

Tips for a Smooth Trip

  • Restaurant Bookings: Marrakech is a popular destination, so I recommend making evening bookings in advance, especially in peak seasons and for well-known spots like Le Comptoir Darna and Rooftop Restaurant Dar Dar. If you want rooftop views.
  • Transport Tips: Be cautious with taxis as they can be costly. We used InDrive, which is similar to Uber and costs far less than the taxis you get with the hotel. If they see you are a Westerner, you will likely be charged more. InDrive is like Uber,  once we got a driver we trusted, we took his WhatsApp, which made our trips around the city much easier and more affordable.

Marrakech is a city that offers a rich blend of history, adventure, and culinary delights. From the bustling souks and serene gardens to the thrilling quad bike excursions and tranquil desert camel rides, there’s something for everyone. Dining in Marrakech is an experience in itself, with a variety of spots offering stunning views and delectable dishes. Remember to book your restaurants in advance and use reliable transport options like InDrive to avoid being overcharged. Marrakech travel is a must for anyone looking to explore the wonders of Morocco and experience the best it has to offer.
