Ultimate Nightlife Guide in Manila

December 27, 2024

Nightlife in Manila is unmatched, offering everything from rooftop cocktails to underground dance clubs. Whether you’re here for a chill evening or an all-night party, I’ve got the best spots lined up for you. Here’s where I went, what I loved, and what I recommend.

Where I Stayed: BGC – The Place to Be

I stayed in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the heart of modern Manila. This area is perfect for nightlife and dining, offering safe streets, chic venues, and everything you need within a short Grab ride.

  • Stay at: Seda BGC – A modern, stylish hotel with a great breakfast spread.
  • Cost: Rooms start at PHP 6,000 per night.
  • Pro Tip: Book early, especially for weekends, as it fills up quickly.

Nightlife Spots to Hit

1. Beer Pong Bar

  • Why I Loved It: Super fun and a great way to kick off the night. The vibes are relaxed, and it’s perfect for groups.
  • Must-Try: Local craft beers.
  • Distance from Seda BGC: 5 minutes by Grab.

2. The Island

  • Why I’d Go Back: The tropical ambiance is unmatched. Think open-air, fairy lights, and a lively crowd.
  • Must-Try: Their coconut cocktails are a must.
  • Distance from Beer Pong Bar: 5 minutes by Grab.

3. Bank Bar

  • Why It’s Unique: A hidden speakeasy behind a convenience store. The drinks are creative, and the setting is intimate.
  • Must-Try: Espresso martini.
  • Distance from The Island: 10 minutes by Grab.

4. Black Market

  • Why You Should End Here: This Makati club is a hotspot for hip-hop and techno beats. The crowd is diverse and energetic.
  • Distance from BGC: 20 minutes by Grab.

Food Stops to Refuel

1. Locavore Kitchen & Drinks

  • Why It’s Worth It: The Sizzling Sinigang is out of this world. Perfect for Filipino comfort food with a modern twist.
  • Distance from The Island: 5 minutes by Grab.

2. Tipsy Pig Gastropub

  • Why I’d Recommend It: The truffle fries are addictive, and the vibe is cozy yet lively.
  • Distance from Seda BGC: 5 minutes by Grab.

Tips for a Great Night Out

  • Transport: Use Grab for convenience and safety; rides cost around PHP 150–300.
  • Dress Code: Opt for smart-casual attire. Clubs often require heels for women.
  • Budget: Entry fees range from PHP 500–1,000, with cocktails starting at PHP 300.
  • Safety: Stick with friends and watch your belongings.
