Travel Guide to Phuket
Here is the Phuket Itinerary: Things to do on Phuket for a long weekend. If you are heading to Phuket and want a travel guide look no further than below.
THURSDAY
1. SPA DAY / Get some treatments
If you are visiting Thailand you should try a spa day or at least a few treatments. Some of the best places to visit are Eforea Spa this is part of Hilton offering treatments such as Equilibrium therapy which involves a foot bath, a foot massage followed by a body scrub, skin cleaning and a full one-hour body massage. With the purpose of circulating your blood welthroughout your body.
Or further out like Siladon Spa which is midst the mountains with views of Patong Bay. Here you can have a spa day with your partner. These cost on average 65-100 pounds as these are rated the best. For a full day you can expect to pay more.

2. VISIT A BEACH FOR AN INSTAGRAMMABLE PHOTO
Take your pick of either Nui Beach for the Rattan char picture or head to Rock Beach for scenic views of Phuket and different types of swings or chairs to get an instagrammable picture with an iconic background. Be prepared to pay for Rock Beach Swing Admission Ticket this cost around £6. Or go to The Lazy Coconut if you fancy just a swing beach in front of the beach.
3. DINNER
Next on the Phuket Itinerary: Things to do on Phuket for a long weekend. It wouldn’t be right to not have a recommended dinner spot on an itinerary. I’d recommend Seasalt in the Patong area for dinner for beautiful sunset views and tasty seafood.

FRIDAY
4.Ma doo Bua- cafe for brunch
This cafe is purely created for those instagrammable moments. Designed. Ma Doo Bua’s main selling point is its artificial lake and giant lily pad style circular floating leaves called Victoria Amazonica. Head here for a brunch. The cafe even takes pictures for you- with drones! This costs 500 baht for one person, 800 for 2, 1,000 baht for 3 and 1,200 baht for four persons for the lie down drone photos of you lying in the wooden Thai boat. Or 350 baht for standing.
Ma Doo Bua is located on Bang Tao Beach.

5. BEACH/POOL DAY:
Next up on the Phuket Itinerary: Things to do on Phuket for a long weekend. Is a Beach or pool chill day. After brunch at a cafe enjoy a day at a beach club – if you head in the week this is more of a relaxing lazy day whereas the weekend offers bottomless brunch packages for example so expect a rowdier crowd. You’ll have to pay for a sun bed but part of the price is redeemable on food. E.g It costs THB 1500 (per person) (varies for type of bed) Food & Beverage Credit THB 750 (till 7pm) incl. Lazy Sun Bed, Pool, Beach Boy Service, Towel*, Outdoor Shower and Restrooms.
SATURDAY:
6. Take a Tour of the phi phi islands
Take a tour on Saturday- expect early pick up at your hotel e.g 7/9 dependant on your tour. Try out a speedboat tour like this. You’ll then be able to stop off at a couple different beaches and snorkel- so many photo opportunities! These tours are usually around £50. You can also buy them at loads of different stands on the island and you can get them cheaper than this which is what we did.
MAYA BEACH
One of the highlights on my Phi Phi tour was Maya Beach. This is where Leonardo DiCaprio filmed Beach. It’s bigger than James Bond Island and there is more to explore here. No swimming is allowed on this beach but you can get some instagrammable shots posing on the beach.
7. Night out
On weekends this is when the Beach clubs are lively for a night out- cafe del mer was recommended as a good spot. Bangla Road is also the main strip of clubs and top streets to visit for nightlife. I didn’t particularly like Bangla Road it gave very much Magaluf or Tenerife vibes but a much older English crowd (mainly men). We went to Illusion and Sugar Club which both happened to be okay. So I’d recommend these if you do want to experience the nightlife. Perhaps something you’ll wan to try on the Phuket Itinerary: Things to do on Phuket for a long weekend.

SUNDAY
8. Visit the Big Buddha in the morning
It wouldn’t be right to not have the Big Buddha on the Phuket Itinerary. Depending where you are staying e.g closer to Patong this will be more like a 45 minute drive. There isn’t much else to do once you walk up the few steps to the Big Buddha. However on the journey up there are many baby elephants or quad bikes you can stop off at.
This gold painted statue was once the tallest statue in Thailand 2018 is a beautiful place to stop for a picture. It can be quite busy here on weekends and be prepared to cover up as it is a holy place, they offer clothing for you to rent if you are in short dresses/shorts as a female.
9. Visit Hogs Head in Old Town Phuket
– Yes you heard me there is a Harry Potter pub in Phuket Town which even sell butterbeers!
The garden is even inspired by Diagon Alley. A perfect touristy spot to stop off and have a drink at.
Stop off at Three Monkeys after which is only 20 mins from old town.

10. THREE MONKEYS RESTAURANT
Three Monkeys is among Phuket’s most exotic restaurants located from the looks of things as in a tropical forest. The food is also very reasonably priced. Make sure to book before and this is not sponsored but I booked through this website which gave us a discount.
11. James Bond or phi phi if you are not going to visit
James Bond Island is the perfect backdrop for another instagrammable spot in Phuket Thailand. The sland is located about 25 kilometres northeast of Phuket Island. You’ll need to get a boat or tour to visit James Bond Island. I did an expensive tour (like this but the tour I did was a different provider I got at Hilton hotel). This had a big catamaran which you could sunbathe on bean bags, canoe near to the island, visit the small island and have lunch and dinner on the boat. You can also opt for cheaper tours like these.
ADVICE
DOWNLOAD INDRIVE FOR TRANSPORT
Or bolt these apps are supposedly not really allowed in Phuket however the tour guide for the James Bond island I went on told me the locals use the app and it was so much cheaper than the normal taxis. Prices for a 45 minutes drive was around £20 – cheaper than the UK but I still feel this was expensive for Thailand.
TAKE CASH OUT
2. I had to get out cash over 4 times and each time it charged 220 Baht which is around £4. I’d therefore suggest taking out a lump sum at the beginning of your trip. Many restaurants/tour trips mainly take taxis or charge a 3/4% fee. Taxis I found almost entirely expected cash (for example the apps I suggested you’ll need cash). Grab you do not however it is same price as normal taxis here.
